I recently drove from where I live (Mexico City 2250 meters above sea level) to sea level (Acapulco). And everything went fine on my trip.
The thing is that now that I returned, Iīve noticed that when in a red light (total halt) the rpmīs arenīt where they used to be (about 600). Now they are at about 800 rpms, even I can feel some vibration telling me the engine is going faster than usual.
Iīve used my automatic 330i for 2 or 3 days and things are still the same. My question is: Could this problem be related to an adaptation to the altitude? Or what could be causing this if not?
Thanks for any advice:
David
