Hey everyone,
After getting one of my ignition coils replaced and at the same time, the fuel sensor sending units replaced, I have noticed a drop in mileage. I got 16mpg last 2 fill-ups with mainly city driving and some highway. The very last fill-up gave me 20.6mpg with 98% highway driving. I dont think this is right since I never got these numbers ever.
I have had my dealer check it, they filled up the tank, drove 50 miles and refilled, they got 21.6mpg, but I think its overall, especially towards the end that the reading is wrong. Every fill-up i reset the mileage and when I fill the tank, I divide the miles driven by the gallons it took. This is becoming very annoying since premium fuel in cali is not cheap.
I have '04 330I with PP, sedan, auto.
Please advice anyone. Thanks.
Chet
