COILOVERS???

I'm thinking about purchasing a H&R coilovers for my 2001 330I. Does anyone have experience with coilovers? Will it make that much of a difference?

The Bilstein PSS9s I put on the first project car were probably the #1 mod in terms of biggest difference. The supercharger was a very close 2nd.

The Bilsteins gave the car a great stance, awesome handling, and a decent ride for as low as it sat. And changes to the handling could be made fairly easily for long trip or the track.

What size rims do you have??

The first project car had 18x8 front and 18x8.5 rear.

So I take it that you would not recommend 19's.

You can get 19s if you wish for the look, but beware of the fact that the bending rim possibility and a harsher ride will be a lingering result.

Thanks and by the way good info on the delivery of the new project car. I had a chance to purchase through BMW Military Sales at a sizeable discount, but my wife wanted her "refrigerator on wheels" ( 02 Land Rover Discovery SE) instead. I'm looking forward to seeing you DIY's for that vehicle.

Hey Todd, what about those Tein electronically adjustable coilovers...the ones were you can adjust from inside the car? my friend said that they can mess up sometimes and doesn't give you the handling of regular coilovers
