Whats up everyone,

This question is intended for Marvel (Todd) however if any of you know what I am talking about, then feel free to chime in....

Here is the problem: A buddy of mine installed my pss9 suspension about 5 months ago. Before the winter, I raised my suspension, however I found it was impossible to raise the rear with the tools that Bilstein gave.

I was not able to raise the rear at all because I was not able to get the bilstein tool straight on the "notches" that need to be turned to raise it. How can I do this without taking the coilover out??

thanks
-John

Well, there is a trick here, but be careful...

First remove the wheel and have the rotor assembly hanging free. It's advisable to remove the lower shock bolt, so the whole thing is hanging. This removes the spring load on the perch nuts. Then, cover the tip of a long flathead screwdriver with some tape and put it in the notches of the spring perch rings. The rings are aluminum, so the tape protects them from getting chewed up. A few taps with a hammer and you can loosen them enough to adjust by hand after that.

Tigthen the same way in reverse... I never used the Bilstein spanners on the rear, wouldn't fit.
