Anyone have specific info (TSB#, etc.) on this known problem. I'm trying to convince the dealer this needs to be fixed. I saw some posts months ago and I tried a search, but I think the info I'm looking for was posted over a year ago. Thanks for your help.

The TSB# is 210101, only certain 2001s were affected. If you have the click, you can get the entire clutch assembly replaced.

Can I still get this fixed after the warranty is out? I took my car in 2 times for this and they never found anything wrong. They lubed it and the click came back only to take it in again and have them say nothing was wrong.

Recalls are covered after warranty runs out, TSB generally are not.

I am getting this popping/clicking on my clutch also but I have a 2003 330i. It has 15700 miles on it. At my 15000 mile service I mentioned my concern to the dealer but they told me it was normal, some kind of spring the makes that pop. The thing is, I never experienced this popping until recently. I plan on taking the car in again for it but if anyone has any info on this that could help me, it would be great. Thanks.

I've had the problem occur every year around wintertime. Then it goes away. I was close to taking it in this winter and before I took it in, it went away. I reported the problem 2X to my dealer, but they never found anything wrong with it. They would say they lubed it and that supposedly fixed it.

make sure its not just a lil click.. there is a switch up underneath your clutch pedal that clicks... check it out..

Yeah, it's not the normal click that you hear when you first start the car. I hear the switch click everyday. What I'm talking about was a louder click and the clutch didn't let out smoothly. It got stuck right before it clicked. It makes getting out of first jumpy at times. It even happens when I'm in neutral and I just depress the clutch.
