I purchased the Goodridge Stainless Brake Lines to fit my 330Xi. They come "complete" with OEM fittings. I installed the rears tonight, but the OEM lines have a standoff bracket (my term) in the middle of the hose to prevent wear (I guess). The new lines do not, and the bracket and rubber grommet cannot be transferred. There seems to be plenty of free movement, and no chafing. I will check daily (for a little while) for signs of wear.
I installed the rears anyway, and moved to the front. There is a more substantial grommet on the front lines, with do hope of transfer, without destroying the old ones (want to keep the OEMs just in case... :)
Has anyone installed these? or does anyone know the proper install method to prevent wear?
