Guess my message didn't make the jump to the redone forum. Anyways, I'm doing the pioneer XM install and had a quick question. I just ordered the blitzsafe adapter which seems to still be available despite what the DIY says. I got the BMW/XM DMX PIO V1 (they have the V2 also) from
http://www.logjamelectronics.com/xminterface.html if anyone else it looking for it.
Anyways, my question is how does this make it so u don't need to run power and trigger wires? Does it power the unit through the IP BUS out port or is there a power wire which comes off of the blitzsafe adapter. Also the DIY mentions that it takes care of power and trigger but doesn't say anything about the ground wire.
Secondly, what does the CD changer wiring look like? I found a couple of cables bundled together back there one with 3 wires and the other with more (maybe 8?). It kind of looks like the large one would be the interface and the smaller would be a power wire but I'm not sure. thanks for your help.
