I was thinking about purchasing an ESS SC system. It is my understanding that I have to ship them my ECU for reprogramming. What exactly do they change?

I am concerned because if I decide to sell my car in the future, and take out the supercharger, what will happen? Am I going to be left with a jacked up ECU that doesn't work correctly without the supercharger attached? Do I have to ship it back to ESS to have it reprogrammed for use without an SC?

Also, I heard that installing the larger injectors, which are required to prevent detonation, will make my fuel consumption reading off by 20%. Is there a work around to this small problem?

Thanks.

Yes, the gas mileage will be off by 21%. Mine is and I don't pay much attention to it. ESS is working on a small tool that will correct the MPG calculation.

Thanks.
