2001 taillights on a 2003 330i ?

I like the tailights used on 99-01 alot better than the newer ones that started in 2002. Is there any way that that the older ones can be fitted into the newer sedans? Has anyone tried this? Thanks.

so far, I heard some people over at E46fanatics trying to do it, not sure if they were successful. go over there and do search.

You should be able to though, seems to fit perfectly, you just have to change somethig with the wires. I know the 2002's and up have one more than the 2001's. I also heard it's easier for your year (2003's) to switch to the 2001 rearlights. Just remember, that when you change the rear lights, you also have to change the trunk lights.

Thanks for the info, yea I want to switch from 03 amber to 01 clear. I wonder if I should just go ahead and order them and hope that it works, or should I wait until some more information is posted somewhere. I just dont like the clear 03 taillights, it looks like a piece of a candy cane or something, haha. Thats just how I see it.
