I have a new 330xi (1500 mi.) I was wondering if anyone could describe their experiences supercharging their cars. I get the feeling the host gets alot of free stuff from diff. co's and may be a little bias. If anyone has done this with their xi I would love to hear it. By the way Marvel you have done a great job with this site.

I wouldn't supercharge until after expiration of a warranty. I do not know anyone who has supercharger on Xi. I can let you know how the ESS SC works on my car in a week or so (ater I receive my reprogrammed DME back)

BTW, I don't think that Todd ( the host ) is giving us a biased info. Read his reviews. I think he is doing a good job on giving us his honnest opinions.

I second that notion that todd is giving honest opinions.

Thnx guys. I am more interested in hearing about peoples long term experiences with supercharging. Has anyone installed rms? They are more expensive than ess but they supposedly offer some important differences.

In my experience, their "benefits" (supposedly more power, carbon fiber tubing, etc) do not justify their lack of software or service.

See the E46fanatics site for a group buy on an ASA supercharger. It's under classifieds, group buys.

wildwing, If you want to supercharge I definetly recomend ESS. I got it. It's great! The power is awsome.

I personally say yes if you have 8k in your pocket and you have a clutch.

If you don't have the money and you looking for alternatives. You could do the followings:

1)wait for 6speed convertion (probably around 6~7k)
2)get Technik Stage II kit with exhaust (puts you dyno around 210lb of torque on wheel). http://www.renn-sport.net
