OEM Alarm

Hi Marvin,
Thanks for your DIY for Alarm.
OEM Alarm, is it only for a E46 which has sunroof? because my E46(325i M54) does not have the central sensor housing. because of my car does not have sunroof, I think.
By the way, is it possible to work without connecting motion sensor?
otherwise have to buy for convertible?

No, I have a 4doors. but the alarm for convertible does not include motion sensor, I think. So in my case, it is good to use because I do not have the the central sensor housing.
anything you have the info to install the alarm to E46 without the central sensor housing?

The central housing should be there sunroof or not. You don't have it?

No, I do not have it.. no such things on my top. its very flat. /forums/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif actually I'm from Japan. so its Japanese spec? or another shapes?

Not sure. Maybe there is something Japan-specific about not having that sensor.

I got some info.
There are US type and EC type. The EC type does not have it. Japan model belong to the EC type. In this case EC type can not handle the OEM Alarm system...
