Happy holidays to everyone. I am pretty new to the forum. I am getting a new 330I 03. Wanting to get a trunk mounted CD changer with XM radio. I am looking for suggestions on any manufacture models that will work with a 03 330I? Also does one need any additional connectors?

The BlitzSafe adapter from http://www.cdadapter.com will let you use the Pioneer XM receiver with an Alpine CD Changer.

Update: cdadapter.com is no longer selling Blitzsafe products...too bad too, because your quoted price of $79 is a heck of a lot better than the $109 on the Blitzsafe site.

Ventura Technologies also has a similar adapter out. Cool thing is that it not only reads the satellite text on the existing head unit, but you can control the satellite radio with the steeringwheel controls. Found at:

From what I gather from their product descriptions and diagrams, it will only display Satellite text on certain 5-series.

Also, it doesn't mention that it will control the satellite unit from the steering wheel controls.

There is a company called soundgate that sells adaprters that will work with sirius, XM and a host of aftermarket changers. All plug and play and work off the factory head unit. Found this out from a friend at curcuit city of all places as they said they stopped carrying the blitssafe pruduct. Go to :
http://www.soundgate.com/products/cd/bmw-mini.htm

You can order direct and they are 120 -129$..not too bad. I called and spoke with thier technical guy and it is an easy plug and play install and woks off of factory wiring. -scrh1
