I have a 2000 328i and unfortunately it doesn't have the rear seat LATCH anchors for a baby car seat. I would like to know if anyone is aware of a retrofit and what that entails.

I am looking to do the same thing in an E36 325is. I have twins so I need both rear seats not just the center seat. There is definately retrofit for top tether anchors. This can be done easily at the dealer. The lower anchors are the problem. The net shows nothing to legally do this. I am looking at bolting the neccessary hardware to the frame in the trunk area directly behind the folding seats.
Buying a retrofit for the seat is easy, look at Century EZ-Latch which is a strap and clip mechanism that is very simple to use.
Let me know if you find out anything different.
