Are the cleaners worth it and do they actually work? I've got 27k on my car and was wondering if I should clean them. If you all know of any products that actually work that'd be cool. Thanks.

I don't think it's safe for our BMW's. That's what I heard in the forums. I have never used it. How about octane boosters are these ok to use?

I've heard a variety of opinions on this. At one time I swore by it, but then I found that switching gasoline brands cured my sometime powerful/sometimes weak problem. All brands of fuel have some sort of cleaner, and they are all just a bit different. (otherwise, there would be no differentiation between brands; they are all stored in common tanks, and the brand-specific additives are added when they fill the truck that delivers the gas to the station).
One gotcha with injector cleaners is that they dilute the oil. So, it's best to change the oil right after you've finished the gas tank with the cleaner; don't put the cleaner in the car just after changing the oil.
