I have a 2001 325i and just got it lowered today. 1.4 in the front, 3/4 rear. Would I have to upgrade my suspension also? The process took about an hour and half. My uncle did it, and he noticed the break pads were worn down, I was suprised cause I only have 26,000 miles on it...is that normal? I'm thinking of upgrading my breaks...any recomendations? Thanks

BMW has notoriously quick-wearing brake pads and rotors. You should be able to get them replaced under warranty if they are not abused.

You don't need to "upgrade" your suspension, you just did! You may want to consider different shocks (shorter) to work better with the lowered chassis.

As long as you don't go down very far, you can use the stock shocks...
