What does the law say about having generic german license plates on your car? I'm assuming you can only place them on the front plate. They make the car stand out nicely, giving it a European look. Any knowledge about this will be appreciated.

Jess,

As I said earlier in the forums. It depends on where you live. I live in California. It's very strict here. I have a German license plate in the front with the same License plate #'s as in the rear. I got pulled over once, but the cop let me go after she saw the same #'s in the front.

Thanks for the clarification Darius. So, as long as the #'s and letters are on the Euro plates, they are not illegal, provided you have the CA plate on the rear. I live in CA too and our cops here are fairly loose in enforcing minor infractions. I'll order them today.

Thanks,
Jess

Where can a German style plate be ordered from?
I think that would look so great. I live in Pennsylvania... we don't have front plates... so I'm pretty sure anything put there is considered a decoration... and therefore legal
