Guys, I was wondering if we had access to the TSB without going to the dealer?
How can I check what my car had replaced?
I have a vibration that might be caused by bushings &/or bracket set.
apar328i, do you have the details of what you had done, i means the codes of the recalls? Thanks

I have the receipt somewhere, I just have to find it. Sorry I haven't been able to get it to you sooner. I'll try to get it this evening and get it to you.

HiMiles,

If you didn't see the reply in the other thread, I sent you an email with the list of things they did for my front end. I hope this helps.

I'm having email issues so I'll put it here.

I found the receipt for the front end TSB. From what I can tell the TSB number is 340401.

From work order:
Cause: (340401) Replace front pads and rotors, service coupler and control arm bushings per this service repair.

0052328 Replaced flex coupling, pads, rotors, and control arm bushings

Part # Description
34-11-6-752-482 Brake pads
32-30-6-752-957 Universal joint
31-12-6-757-622 Set brackets
31-10-1-095-140 hex bolt w/washer
34-11-1-164-539 Brake disc ventilate
32-30-1-094-718 Torx bolt

I hope this helps.

If something is on TSB does it mean you get it fixed for free or what are the TSB #'s for?

Todd, I'm glad you had a productive time at SEMA. I am sure all of us will benefit fron this trip /forums/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif
I looked at the site you left us, under the service bulletin #91 is my problem. What does this mean for me at this point: I am beyond 50000 miles, how do I approach the BMW dealership regarding this matter? I saw the 2 things that they changed 2 weeks ago for me for free, made me feel better. I am a little lost..

TSBs do not have to be performed by BMW after the warranty period has expired.

Recalls do.

Thank you apar328i. I really appreciate you looking for this. I don't know what to do at this point. I have to figure out what those 11 digit defect codes stand for on the BMW dealershipp history report the they print for your car. Anyone?

I have a couple of questions for those who want to listen, sorry so long!
After visiting alldata.com (thanks for that by the way), I learned something very interesting about TSB's! I noticed that I can associate numerous little problems I have encountered by the TSB's listed. Musty odors in A/C system, A/T not upshifting at times, click/raddle in seatbelt upper mount, a whining noise from that back suspension, differential, water leaks from door, dash lights dim unannounced and then return to normal (not often though) and noises in the rear when hitting dips and bumps.

For those of you who are members of the bmwboard.com, check this one out (my biggest nightmare to date): http://www.bmwboard.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3389

What can I do from this point with the TSB's? I have an 01 330i with 38K miles. I would imagine I don't call a dealer and make this list, do I? Thanks in advance!
