Euro BMW 330 & US BMW 330 ?

I don't understand, how come Euro 330 has 231hp and we only have 225hp? I'm not saying 6 hp is a lot of difference, but 6hp is expansive to get from tunning ($500 or so?) Is it simply because they have a better ECU ??

I think that's because in europe they have access to higher octane gasoline.

actually, their hp unit of measure in Europe is slightly smaller than the US hp unit, causing the difference in numbers. (think of it as similar to mph and kph, but with a much smaller difference between the two units of measure).

I think you are referring to the Pfederstark(ps) measurements not horsepower.

Actually, Europe uses DIN HP and we use SAE HP ratings... their 231 is our 225...
