View Full Version : Oversteer with supercharger installed??
any of you guys ever try going round a bend at 4,000 + rpm and have the SC kicking in? I wonder if you will experience somekind of excessive oversteer?

The supercharger doesn't kick you in the ass like Nitrous, for instance, so it won't be surprising you with any lurches in power. It is a gradual power increase and considering it is a centrifugal blower, it would act similiarly to just having a bigger displacement engine.

Maybe you're thinking of turbos? (disclaimer: I've never driven one). The dreaded turbo lag (the time it takes the turbine to spin up - it's driven freely by exhaust gasses instead of belt-driven) makes the amount of power your engine produces increase even though you don't step harder on the pedal. Or maybe there's a faulty supercharger clutch that's kicking in at way-too-high speeds?

supercharger usually give a very linear power output.
