View Full Version : Mother Fu**ing Kickass Air filter

I just got the K&N (www.4filters.com)air filter which raised my mileage and the car feels faster but maybe thats just me. I'm getin about twenty something miles per gallon. If any1 knows if there is a change in horse power w/ this filter installed please tell me.

As far as I know, the K&N filters should give you a little (1-2hp) so it shouldn't be noticable. It might be the fact that you "think" it's faster. However, complemented with a CAI, and an exhaust (with correct piping) you should get a considerable gain. If I get an exhaust, I don't want to lose back pressure for low-end torque, so I'm gonna have 1 to 1 1/2 inch piping.

I hope you're not serious about the 1"-1.5" piping. If so, be prepared to take sidestreets from now on because your top end will be non-existant. Also you're RPM's will be noticably higher. Not to mention the restricted exhaust flow which will harm the cat's and you'll have that maintenance light on.

But yea, I wouldn't do it.

why would you even swap out your piping? 330's piping is sufficient and i raelly havent heard of anybody swapping the piping out for extra gains.
