I just ordered a ITG drop in filter for my 300i. Has anyone here installed this airfilter on there car? How does ITG airfilter compare to K&N drop in filter.

I have installed the Jim Conforti CAI with an ITG filter in my 325Xi. Al I know is I had to get used to the slight hiss as the throttle is partly opened at slow speeds. Otherwise at WFO it really honks! I mean it adds some more induction sound to the car. In Boston it is sometimes fun to roll the windows down and punch the throttle from red light to red light just to hear her honk! I will email you some pics of the install or you can check out my car on http://www.turnermotorsports.com. Then select intake and then 2001+ 325 and or 330 models. They are both pictures of my engine after I installed it. I am now waiting for their software upgrade for more power. I know we are all awaiting the ESS supercharger upgrade Marvel puts in his car to let us all decide if we want the same POWER!

I installed a K&N drop filter and it kicks ass. I think it is the most value for the money. It was like 46 bucks. and that was including next day air.It has a little deeper sound when you step on it and you can feel a little difference in HP. I recommend the drop K&N.

If you don't mind spending the money, Dinan has a great Carbon Fiber High Flow Cold Air Intake System when combined with the Throttle Body and Software Download Stages 1-3 really makes a huge difference in engine sound, throttle response, and not to shabby oncrease in HP and Torque.
