someone posted the part number for the bumper trim that takes the place of the front license plate trim.I remember reading it was like 20 bucks or something.Anyone have that part number and is it an easy install?
If you're looking for the trim on a 2002 330i that replaces either the US or European license plate frame - they weren't in stock as of early January, 2002.
I went to the local dealer, he easily found the part in their system and I ended up paying $19 and some change. Luckily I tried to replace the part in the dealer parking lot - and it didn't fit correctly. It appears that the parts system is calling for a 2001 part number on the 2002 model. The 2001 part does not fit the 2002 model - they changed the placement of the clips.
To make a long story short - the trim without the license plate frame was not released yet. They're very easy to replace and in my opinion clean up the front of the car nicely. I'm checking with the dealer tomorrow and will post an update if the part is now available on the 2002 models.

I'm the anonymous user above....
I stopped by the local BMW dealer today and they do not have the blank trim in stock - or in the system for that matter. This is for the 2002 330i. The part for the 2001 and earlier is in stock.

Marvel, please add this part number to your "do it yourself" page. Thanks.
