You know how when you turn on your lights at night, your blinkers stay on too? Well, my friend in the 323 did something to them to have them off at night and it looks soooo sweet. Having just the two xenons (which looks bluer than most stock xenons, he didn't even buy aftermarket ones) light up looks so mean, especially after he gets his angel eyes conversion. Anyway, I was wondering how he did it, can anyone help

Yeah, cut the wire for his parking lights coming out of the switch. Illegal, but you can do it.

Actually, I looked into it, and it's not illegal to not have your signals off at night. The new 5-series has that setup stock. If anyone noticed, all you see are the xenons and angel eyes. That's what I want on my car, so I'm gonna do it.

Can anyone give me guidance on where to find the correct wire to cut?
Thanks

Well, at the switch, cutting the wire will kill your rear parking lamps as well (bad idea).
Also, BMW uses hot and cold lamp circuit checking. Cutting wires at the lamps might cause your status monitor on the gauge panel to indicate burnt out bulbs.
You might want to just leave it alone.

Yeah, My friend that I mentioned earlier had it done, and his CPU always thinks he has burnt bulbs. It has that stupid indicator where it shows the cars and the four bulbs at each corner. I think that would be annoying.

What about those engine code reset tools? I honestly don't know what they do but I think they are to reset warnings like that?

The "engine code reset tool" you are referring to is an ODB-II code scanner and it will not affect the lamp status lights.
ODB-II is mainly emissions-related.

Actually Marvel, you were right. I actually asked an officer, and if you see on the 5-series, they made the part were the turn signal is on all th time when the lights are on waaaay to the side so you don't see them (sorry, didn't really know how to word that).

hm i believe herb on e46 has done it many tiems so that the corners are wired in conjunction with the siedmarkers so when u turn ur turn signals on, the corners will blink with them.
