View Full Version : Installing Xenon Headlights in 330i

I want to install xenon headlights in my 330i because like an idiot, I didn't order them. Anyway, I heard that if I do install the xenons, they wouldn't be able to auto-level since they weren't retro-fitted. Can anyone help me? I think it's pointless having xenons that don't auto-level. Also I was looking at the 5-series' "angel eyes" xenons, and I think those are bad-ass (just needed to say that).

You are correct regarding the auto-level system. I imagine that could be added as well, but for a hefty price. The sensor itself is only about $100, but getting it all working properply might be tricky.

I'm the one who started this post. Thanks Marvel for the info. I'm thinking I want to install the xenons and the angel eyes (after you put them on) even if they aren't self-leveling. But, I still would like them to be, but if not I'll just settle for regular xenons. What would you suggest? What's up with this sensor thing, how much will it be to install, and do you know a good garage to call about all this?

I do not know how much it would cost to install the auto-leveler system. The sensor is normally behind the right-front wheel and attaches to the lower control arm.

How about a BMW Dealer. I suggest that you contact one. I wouldn't trust any other garage.
