Steering wheel controls not working after installing alum tr

I have just finished installing the alum trim on my sport steering wheel and the radio, cruise etc controls are not working. I followed the DIY to the letter and made sure I re-attached the white plug firmly back in the socket. Can anyone help me out?

You might want to double-check nothing is getting pinched. Did you turn the ignition on during any time that any wires were disconnected?
