Has anyone put the Angle Eyes on an E46?

I will probably take a look into putting the Angel Eyes on my 330i. I know Jim and UUC are both offering kits. I will let you all know.

I posted the "installing xenons headlights on 330i" and I am also interested in installing the 5-series "angel eyes" xenons on my 330i. I need the info too.

Ok, I will install the UUC Angel/Demon Eyes kit and let you all know how it comes out. I should have the kit in a couple of weeks.

I found a pretty reliable company that specializes in European lights, especially BMW. Their website is HIDS4LESS.COM. I recommend this site to anyone who wants the angel eyes conversion, xenon lights, or clears for their car. They are manufactured by the same company that supplied lights for BMW, MB,and other German marques.

Thanks for the link - I'm there ordering as we speak! I'll let you know how the install goes.

Not sure if I should ask this question on a separate post, but since it says "clear blinkers" in the subject line, here goes. I just installed the clear lenses, front and back, but I notice that when the lights are on at night, the front still looks orange because of the bulb. Do they sell clear bulbs?

You can buy clear bulbs for your blinkers, but it's illegal. You have to have the orange or yellow bulbs. I heard you can put red bulbs.

I have Silvervisions... orange when lit, silver when not... very nice...

Where did you get the Silvervisions?
Also I don't think the Angel Eyes are not
available for 330's yet at http://hids4less.com/bmw.htm.
Maybe I'm wrong - wouldn't be the first time.
Has anyone put these on a 330 yet?

Question: Has anyone tried the Angel Eyes in a 2002 330i? They've redesigned the headlights in a "cat eye" fashion- the outside corners go up rather than down. The headlights look narrower, too. It looks like you may not be able to get a whole ring of light in there. Anyone had any experience with this?

Before there were kits, I was thinking of doing this myself with tglow wire (http://www.glowire.com/photo_gallery.htm). And, no, I woudn't consider the interior that that link shows!! At the bottom of the page, there's someone who lit up the side grill of a Z3. The Z8 has a turn signal here; maybe that's the look they were going for.

Actually, your turn signals have to EMIT orange or yellow. RED is illegal.

Can you install the Angel(demon)eyes on 330i with Xenon? The illustration showed install on standard Lights...

Yes, you can.

I have installed equipment on other BMWs such as bumpers, angel-eyes, SSKs, exhaust, sway-bars, etc. I should have written up DIYs on the things I don't have one for.

Now that this thread seems to have picked up again, I'll just reask my question -- Does the angel eye mod work with the 2002 models? The headlights look narrower than the 2001 models and I'm not sure you could get a decent diameter ring in there - it might end up looking like this:
(o)(o) (o)(o)
Which would be neat, too, but I think installation would be a pain.

I didn't really understand what all the fuss was about with the Angel Eyes at first. I looked at some pictures online but it didn't look that cool.

Yesterday though, I actually saw a 5-series parked right outside my building. The guy was sitting in the car and the Angel Eyes were on. It looked beautiful! The car looked like it had a magic spell on it or something. Now I understand why everyone wants them!

When do you use them other than when you're sitting in a parked car just after sunset? I mean, I think they're worth it if just for that after seeing them last night. How sweet would it be to pick up your woman with the Angel Eyes on - you'd be a major stud. But do they have any other use? Are they just on all the time like daytime running lights?

Hope y'all get yours installed. I'm not sure I'll be doing much to my 330i since it's leased, but I'd love to see pictures of your 330's with them installed!

Hi all! I'm new to the site. Great forum, but seems a little slow. So has anyone done the angel-eyes mod on a 2001 330i? Details would be great! Info on retailers, install difficulty, lifetime, problems, etc

Site is a lil slow cause most of ppl here are a bit involved in their lives and jobs. But that is what makes this site so good. Only serious folk to respond to you. Sometimes I take a vacation from life and post in here like nuts.

Anyway - have not done angel eyes - too much cutting into the headlights and so forth. I'd rather keep my headlights housing intact and sealed with no hazing possibilities if possible.
If there was a OEM way about them, I'd probably get them. As it stands right now I try to stay away from this distructio...uh...mod.

Just my 2Canadian Cents :)
