Quarter mile

I own a 2001 330i and I cant seem to find any information on the web about quarter mile times for a stock 330i. Does anybody have info on quarter mile times?

15 secs at 98 mph I saw that online once. I will post my 1/4 mile time using my G-Tech/Pro this weekend maybe...

15 seconds? that's pretty slow consider it has similar horse power as the old m3. that's with 5speed or steptronic?

It's a steptronic, with the sports package. Also I was looking into cold air intakes for the car and the only one I've been able to find is the one made by Dinan. Does anyone know of any other brands? And if anyone has a cold air intake installed on their 330i, How much actual difference does it make?

I know thi post is old but I was just browsing and decided to reply. Anyway, car and driver magazine managed to get 14.8 sec at 95 mph and another time of 14.9 sec at 94mph w/ manual transmission. Does anyone know the 1/4 times for auto?

I own a 2001 steel blue auto. 330i with no mods. i tried it off with the G-tech.. the results were: 0-60: 6.60 secs. and 1/4 mile: 14.9 @ 100 mph. this is not bad, yet not that good. im aiming for at least 6.4 and 14.7 ..

I own a 2001 steptronic 330i. I managed to do 6.5s for my best run from 0~60 with Gtech-Pro. I have about 80lbs of woofers and amps, a stock spare tire, 3/4 tank of gas, and the temp was around 85F. The only mods I got are autothority ECU upgrade(14hp with 16torque) and a tornado air(they said it's about 10hp of gain) which should shave a good .2 to .3 seconds from 0~60 run. I have never tried the 1/4 mile because I cannot find a road that's long enough.

in response to the question about the cold air intake.. ECIS makes on. it was liek 325 bucks on e46fanatics.com. there's one on bavauto.com. i think it's a little cheaper.. maybe 250-300. i'm not sure, check on it

Actually, the old M3 has 240 hp, while ours has 225hp.

Car and Driver has the 330I with step tranny as 0-60 7.0 sec, and 1/4 mile comes in at 14.3 @95mph.

First of all nice ride! What kind of HP are you getting from you're SC system?

My first 2001 330i Project Car did a 14.1 second in the 1/4 mile with a 2.3 sec 60ft (drag strip). It could have been a better launch. Since then the car has been upgraded with better boost and an aftercooler. I will tell him to run the car again.

First of all nice ride! What kind of HP are you getting from you're SC system? With the stage one vortech s/c i had it dynoed at 296hp, and 370nm after i put the aftercooler on i dynoed it again and i got 300hp but the torque shot up to 425nm i have now taken the vortech unit out sent it back to norway for a trade in on the 8psi asa unit..

You have to face it, this isn't a fast car, even with an S/C in my 330i. If I had it to do over again, I would have bought a Corvette and amped it up a little more.
