Alarmed

I went to the service area to have the keys programmed on my new 2001 BMW 330ci Convertible. Only to find I can't get an audible sound when I lock the car with the key button. In addition, I can't have the panic button on the trunk release key button programmed to activate again because the automobile does not come with an alarm. This is most strange, STUPID and IRRESPONSIBLE to have a $45,000 car come without an alarm. I am shocked and dismayed that a company like BMW would do such a crappy thing to their 330 buyers!

I agree with you 100%, I installed the alarm on my 330i last month and it cost me $500 and there was nobody in the service department showing me how it works and its functionalities, beside they also stole my sunglass and never admitted.

does anyone know why alarm systems do not come standard in our 40,000 dollar cars?
