I got my 330i last month and mine is equipped with xenon head light, but mine does not have titannium finish around the light bulbs like they showed in the catalog. I wonder whether it is because I got the xenon option. Please give me some info on this.

Wow, I was under the impression that the titanium headlight trim was one of the changes between the 323/328 and the 325/330. I got my 330i last November and it has the titanium trim and Xenons. I don't remember even seeing it as an orderable option.
I do know that it the trim can be purchased and installed yourself. Maybe it has something to do with your interior trim? Do you have the aluminim or wood interior?

I have black leather interior with wood, and my car is a June production car do you think that has something to do with it?

You might have to have the aluminum interior trim to get the aluminum headlamp trim.
Anyone else know about this?
The titanium trim is standard equipment. Just take it to the Service Area and tell them that you just noticed that it did not arrive with the car like it should and they should replace it for you "free of charge".

I finally call the BMW main office on the east coast and they told me they discontinued the silver head light trim in this spring and my 330i is a June production.
Has been withdrawn from the 330ISport in the UK not sure if the same applies to the US

I have a 8/01 330i and the titanium trim has been left out. Is this a common problem with 330i owners? I've read a few forums with very few people (maybe 3 or 4) having this problem. I've even seen someone with a 2002 330i without the trim even though the brochure states that it is a standard feature. It seems like this problem is random. Therefore, BMW should make corrections to the error.

the silver housing is for the 323and328 models the 330 with xenons should all have silver housing if it came from factory

i have a 2002 330i sp, pp, bi-xenon, jet black and i dont have the titanium trim either. it doesnt bother me much because i kinda think it looks better without it. ill have to see another jetblack 330 to see the difference.
Found out from 5/01 to 9/01 no titanium trim on 330i with SP. 330ci and 330i's w/o SP should have the trim. Does any one know if the warranty is voided if you install the trim yourself? There is an additional part that is in between the two cylindrical light housings that is black. Is this part included in the OEM headlight trim part? Or do I have to paint my own silver to match the rest of the titanium headlight trim?
The 2002 models do not com with titanium
headlight trim anymore
2002 330i's DO come with the trim. Only SOME (9/01 production) 2002 330i's with SP do not have it. This info is from a TSB from earlier this year.
has anyone tried to go back and have the dealer trade out the trim. it seems like it should be covered by the dealer cause its says in the brochure that it should come wit the trim.
I have a July 01 production 330i with every option including GPS and Dinan badge. It also arrived without titanium trim around the headlights. However, I made the dealer change it due to the description in the brochure. The brochure also indicated a titanium lower grille however, the lower grille is different on the i sports package than it is on the xi.
I got my 330iSP in August of 2001. Noticed it did not have the trim. There is a BMW TSB on this subject. The 330iSP is specified with black trim (so is the M3, by the way). However... if the owner is dissatisfied they will switch no charge. That's what they did for me (Kelly BMW in Ohio).
I prefer the Titanium trim. It makes the car look more upmarket. The black surrounds are shiny and cheap-looking.
sorry but what is the TSB?
TSB is Technical Service Bulletin. The BMW service departments get them from BMW in case there is a problem that they may need to fix.
Does anyone know where to get this TSB? I have had no success in getting my local service center to make the change without spending $$$. I'm in Los Angeles. What did your dealer tell you in Ohio?
the lower grill on my car is black. you mean I can have it changed to the alluminum like the 2 door version?

I have a jet black 330i with sport package, but no titanium trim. Maybe the engineers at BMW thought it would look like shit on the darker colors! I've seen it on the black paint and it looks out of place. Makes the headlights stick-out too much.

Ordered a pair from BMW for $20. Took 15 minutes to fit.

i think that it is just a first edition and unlimited edition thing. black trim with the first produced and titanium with the rest.
