ok this might be a stupid question and it might not...im not great with car and car parts im trying to learn now...and im a quick learner most of the stuff your wrote about between the turbo and supercharger my friends that know about have already tought me...now the question i want to nkow islets say iw ant the supercharger it sounds more convenient and more efficient...i have a 330i auto on a 3 year lease...when im done wit hth car could i take out the supercharger and put it in my next car? like the e46 m3? or is that impossible why or why not?

now im editing i went on to ess and i saw that its two different super chargers but why wont it work the same...

In response to your switching the unit, yes the M3 uses a different setup. The M3 has a 3.2 liter engine with different internals. Changing your 330 supercharger to produce 8psi is easy, but I imagine the tubing, MAS, injectors, spark plugs, and ECU programming are all different. The Vortech unit itself can be reused, but everything else will change. You might want to write ESS when you are ready to switch and ask them if you can buy just the "install kit" minus the s/c for your new BMW. And by then, there might be a bigger, better setup for the M3 anyway.
